Reiki
Reiki is a holistic approach of Japanese origin of laying on of hands aimed at stimulating the body's natural healing abilities by intervening on the energy centers of the body, more commonly called chakra. Reiki helps the body facilitate its own healing process.
The role of the practitioner is to channel universal energy and transmit it to clients during a reiki session. The Reiki practitioner will place their hands lightly on the client and in some places, use hands-free techniques where the hands hover close to the body. Typically, clients feel the warmth of the practitioner's hands and on occasion, they may notice that their body is warmer or colder, or simply, more relaxed. These sessions are gentle, non-invasive and promote the relaxation and well-being of the recipient.
Please note that during a session, the client is fully clothed. Reiki is a complementary treatment, meaning it can be used alongside proven traditional medical treatments. It does not cure or remove any health problems on its own.
